Tell us a little bit about yourself
My name is Dalal Aboguddah. I am a mother of two boys and one girl. I am Canadian with Syrian background based in AD. I am a nutritionist and a Mat Pilates instructor. I am also passionate about the gut-mind link.
-
What led you to becoming a gut health / mat pilates instructor?
A couple of years back I had neuritis due to accumulative stress, my doctor advised me to do some sort of mindful movement to release stress and tension in my life, and that was where I started !
What made me get interested into gut-mind link was my hundred ways to treat my mood swings and anxiety, so you can say that it’s part of my own healing journey but I believe there are many women out there who are going through what I went through one day.
-
What are some of the most important points one should know about their gut health?
** The large intestine is the home of most of our gut bacteria
** color, consistency and components of feces tell a lot about our gut health
** 95% of the serotonin in our body is located in our gut
-
As you went through your training journey, how did it change your personal and professional life?
I learned a lot about my resilience, I learned how to set my intensions and most importantly how to think out of the box.
-
Do you find your life purpose in what you do? How so?
Absolutely yes !
I love to help ladies feel better about their bodies because every body can be a Pilates body!
-
What are your top tips for balancing work, family commitment and personal well-being?
Knowing my core values in my work, knowing what my family needs and when do they need me, and taking care of my mental health all the way with the support of my life coach.
-
How do you keep people motivated and engaged?
I put myself in their shoes and give them tiny easy steps to improve and to simplify the change process for them.
-
What is your favorite quote?
I love this quote by Joseph Pilates (You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions) .
